When Art Meets Charlie explores the moment when moving pictures burst onto the scene and artists began to see the world differently. Through the figure of Charlie Chaplin, students will discover how early cinema inspired artists like Fernand Léger and Marc Chagall. We’ll also step outside the traditional canon with a visit to the Visionary Art Museum, where inventive works by self-taught artists reveal fresh, imaginative ways of seeing. This camp invites students to look at art as a living, evolving language—playful, expressive, and full of surprises.
