This is a week-long summer sleep-away camp ( for girls ) in beautiful West Virginia. For this creative adventure we are joining our longtime partner Artichoke Art Studio (Gaithersburg), led by Ksenya "Ksusha" Litvak. 

 

THE IDEA

A creative incubator for young artists; a safe and nurturing environment for inquisitive minds and unique personalities. Art, art, art! A lot of it - Plen air (outdoors) and indoor projects throughout each day - with a few breaks for food, swimming in the Mirror lake, playing etc. A lot of bonding with Nature and learning from it. Very limited time with very limited electronic devices: enjoy nature, art and friendship.

 

HOW OLD? 

It will be the 19th season for our camp. However, Inna and Ksusha are ageless, which goes without saying! Students could be as young as 7 (if they are ready to spend a week away from home) and as seasoned as 18-19 (and occasional college-bound young ladies, who still manage to join us).

LOCATION

Canaan Valley, near Davis, WV

Kiss & Drop and Pick up: Artichoke Art Studio, 12105 Darnestown Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20878. Times are specific for each session.

 

FOOD

Plentiful! Homecooked (by Inna and Ksusha) and delicious, with a few traditional dishes (like “katletki” and “blinchiki”) and an ever-expanding menu to keep our hungry artists fully fueled. Veggies and fruit every day. Diet restrictions are accommodated, no problem!

From a safe distance on Facebook. They might forget to call, but you may check on your camper every day by phone (at allowed times).  We also do our best to give you daily updates.  

 

SAFE!

Kids will live in a gated resort, cared and supervised by two motherhood enlightened teachers, who also hold current certificates in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.

COST 

includes transportation, accommodations, food, art supply and tuition for a week! 

$1100 / per session with $100 due at registration.
